itunes vs. amazon cloud music
Because of the way that we have set up the iPads for students, syncing with iTunes on your computer will not work - iPads can only be synced with the computer the technology department used to set up the iPads. This means that you cannot add music to your iPad using iTunes.
There are a number of options instead of using iTunes. However, we have found amazon Cloud Player to be one of the better options. You can store up to 250 songs for free. More storage is available for a yearly fee.

Setting up Amazon Cloud Importer on your computer
- Set up an Amazon account if you do not already have one by CLICKING HERE.
- Go to the Amazon Cloud Player page by CLICKING HERE.
- Sign in with your Amazon account information.
- Click on the "Import your music" button located at the top-left of the web page.
- You will be prompted to download and install the Amazon Music Importer - select "Download now".
- Once downloaded, run the installer file. You should not have to change anything while installing - just click Continue, I Agree, etc.
- Once installed, you can have the program browse your computer or you can manually select music from your computer.

- Once installed on your iPad, you can play directly from the cloud or download music to your iPad. You can also create playlists, etc.
